What is a PM Category?
The “PM” in PM Category stands for Preventative Maintenance. “Category” represents a grouping of Service(s) and Inspection(s). Creating categories simplifies the scheduling process by grouping services and/or inspections together into a single category.
All items within the category follow one schedule and, based on the scheduling parameters, are then grouped to be performed at the same time on a single work order. This keeps the services and inspections on schedule by performing them at the same time and also limits the number of tasks seen in the PM Services/Inspections Task List.
