Account Manager

Collective Data is seeking a seasoned Account Manager to support continuing business expansion. Our Account Managers serve as client advocates by working alongside our sales and operations teams to develop business and deliver solutions in an efficient and effective manner that facilitates a satisfied and growing client base and ensures that needs are understood and satisfied. Our Account Management team is directly involved in the sales process while working to improve the overall client experience.  

 Responsibilities: 

This position works and shares goals within a two-person sales team. Responsibilities include: 

  • Assisting Regional Sales Managers with the logistical requirements necessary to convert prospects into clients  
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for all client needs that support our sales process and strengthen relationships, including:  
    • Service / support requirements 
    • Project management  
    • Service renewals  
    • Upselling of additional products and services 
  • Collaborate with team members and prepare accurate order specifications and resulting quotations 
    • Prepare quotes  
    • Insure accurate daily entry into a proprietary CRM system containing all pertinent client data 
    • Work cooperatively / collaboratively within teams to achieve team goals  
  • Assist in the establishment of team sales forecasts on an annual basis 
  • Provide insight into product and service improvements as identified from building client relationships  

 Required Skills / Experience:  

  • Three or more years of proven account management / customer service experience in the software or technology industry 
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized
  • Ability to multi-task, determine priority of multiple projects, and maintain a positive attitude in stressful situations 
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills

Business Analyst

Collective Data is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to serve as the translator between the client and our technical teams that ensures a successful solution is created and delivered. Define project needs: identify requirements, outline scope, list project milestones, communicate configuration specifications to the team, and finalize budget requirements.   

 Responsibilities:  

  • Seek to understand the needs of the client and serve as a translator to the technical teams to develop a solution illustrating within the idiomatic use of the product, to minimize configuration and customization requests, from the beginning and throughout the relationship  
  • Validate resource requirements and develop cost estimate models 
  • Construct workflow process: work within the team to identify system capabilities and write specifications 
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publish progress reports, and recommend actions 
  • Upon implementation, serve as the coordinator between the client and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood by both to mitigate scope creep 
  • Maintain user confidence by providing ongoing project updates as it relates to identified milestones
  • Participate in user and functional testing to ensure client’s needs and expectations are met 
  • Write documentation within established standards, and prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends 
  • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues 
  • Identify trends, client requests and observations to propose software and application enhancements, projects and programs for the future and communicate with product owner 

 Required Skills / Experience:  

  • A degree in a related area and more than two years of experience in the field, or in a related area 
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts and client-server concepts preferred  
  • Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational 
  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive 
  • Ability to work independently and with others

Regional Sales Manager

Collective Data is seeking a proven sales professional to drive new business growth. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience developing new business in a related industry plus possess the skills related to working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial business. Supported by a Sales Engineer and an Account Manager, this team is assigned to a regional territory.  

 Responsibilities: 

  • Determine quarterly and annual sales forecasts in cooperation with the President 
  • Attain quarterly and annual sales goals, to include prospecting as well as the development of leads and referrals resulting from company marketing activities 
  • Weekly sales funnel management as well as regular win-loss reports 
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities gathered through field activity to marketing team 
  • Work alongside an Account Manager, Sales Engineer, Marketing Analyst, and Sales and Marketing Analyst to coordinate company resources as needed to close new business 
  • Interface with marketing department to secure optimal sales tools
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars and tradeshows 

 Required Skills / Experience:  

  • Professional appearance and work ethic 
  • Multiple years of proven success generating new business in a relevant B-to-B SaaS business 
  • Proven experience generating new business over the telephone as well as face-to-face on a regional / national scale with applicable travel experience 
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • 3+ years of over-quota new business creation in a related industry 
  • Strong sales funnel management skills 
  • Experience selling to government agencies

Sales Engineer

Collective Data is seeking a seasoned Sales Engineer to play a vital role within our sales team. By interpreting the prospect and client’s technical requirements and communicating key product features, this role supports the technical competence of the business. Using strong communication and relationship building skills, the candidate will work closely within technical and sales teams explaining complex solutions in easy-to-understand terms while building trust. Success in this role is the ability to connect with prospects and clients while still being able to articulate our solution’s technical capabilities.  

 Responsibilities: 

  • Work within the sales and technical teams to interpret client requirements and deliver solutions with the goal of closing sales  
  • Demonstrate an understanding of client needs in terms of on-going support managing expectations on the client and sales side 
  • Develop / deliver product demonstrations that explain key technical aspects of our solution that will benefit prospects / clients 
  • Provide answers to prospect questions about our products and corresponding technical aspects from pre-sale through technical implementation  
  • By working closely with regional sales managers and account managers, the candidate will orchestrate successful experiences, answer questions, and troubleshoot, as needed
  • Think critically, suggesting improvements that might lead to cost savings or other client benefits 
  • Provide feedback to teams to enhance the product improvement process
  • Condense information into reports for a wide variety of uses from marketing and sales to technical teams  
  • Provide clear and accurate responses for RFPs and RFQs and / or contribute technical solutions directly for proposals 

 Required Skills / Experience:  

  • A degree in a related area and more than five years of experience in the field, or in a related area with a demonstrated successful track record in the software industry 
  • Helpful experience would include a well-rounded understanding of IT, networks, enterprise software systems  
  • Successful experience in working with sales and technical teams to deliver high-quality presentations and information to clients and prospects  
  • Successful experience in developing and delivering persuasive presentations to audiences ranging from small groups of clients to large tradeshow audiences 
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills 
  • Successful experience in driving innovation as a way to increase sales
  • Strong ability to quickly comprehend and explain complex concepts in simple, effective terms
