Application Developer

Collective Data is seeking a skilled Application Developer with a strong desire to learn our proprietary language. In this role you will serve in a project management role to handle deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, and coding. You will exercise your judgment in determining and recommending the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines, and other resource constraints. You will be challenged and provided a tremendous opportunity for growth in a customer facing, fast paced, agile environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Establish understanding of client user needs to configure imports, build reports, and security profiles via Collective Data’s proprietary editors to meet requirements  
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug mission critical software source code using modern software development languages and tools 
  • Manage technical discussions with client and/or third-party IT teams 
  • Carefully document requested features, scope and requirements for each project 
  • Write end user and technical documentation 
  • Provide client support and technical issue resolution via e-mail, phone and other electronic mediums  
  • Support creation and updating of all relevant documentation and specifications for design, development, and testing 
  • Develop maintainable code that matches specification 

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities: 

  • Experience in object-oriented programming 
  • Confidence in working alongside and communicating with clients  
  • A solid understanding of software development process fundamentals 
  • A strong, self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques 
  • Familiarity with basic web technologies including HTML, CSS, and XML 
  • Knowledge of a version control system (e.g., Git) 
  • Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint) 
  • Familiarity and experience with various computer languages and technologies 
  • Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines

East Coast Government Software Sales Representative

Collective Data is seeking a dynamic and experienced Government Software Sales Representative to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in developing and executing sales in the government sector across the East Coast. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, results driven, and possess a strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to expand our client base in the government sector across the East Coast, including local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Utilize your knowledge and experience to effectively sell our software solutions to public safety and law enforcement departments.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Collective Data’s software products and articulate our value proposition to prospects and customers.
  • Collaborate with our Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to optimize sales strategies and product offerings.
  • Deliver presentations and demonstrations of our software to potential clients.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key government decision-makers in the Eastern US region.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Collective Data is taking giant strides in the field of asset and fleet management software, and now, we’re gearing up to venture deeper into the government sector. We’re on the lookout for an Outside Sales Representative who not only has an affinity for our line of solutions but also possesses considerable expertise in government operations, specifically concerning software and barcode hardware systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Scout and identify potential government sales opportunities in state, local, and federal entities.
  • Engage potential prospects through cold calls, e-mails, networking events, conferences, and other outreach mediums.
  • Offer comprehensive demonstrations of Collective Data’s solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of government agencies.

Collective Data is in a phase of rapid growth and is looking to expand its reach into the government sector. We are seeking a Sales Development Representative with a special focus on engaging with state, local, and federal government entities. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to drive new business growth in a crucial sector, leveraging Collective Data’s innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities through research that leads to identifying key players and decision-makers to generate interest  
  • Contact potential prospects through cold calls (roughly 70% of your time), e-mails, social mediums, and video outreach. 
  • Present Collective Data to potential prospects while seeking to understand the prospect’s needs to begin a conversation that leads to suggesting a potential solution and demonstration 
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with prospects 
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities within the target market 
  • Team with strategic partners to continue the building of a pipeline at the top of the funnel  
  • Establish meetings and / or demos between prospects and our experienced sales team
