Elevating Your Experience: Insights from the 2024 Customer Survey
A reflection from Jason Wonase, CEO of Collective Data
As we begin 2025, I want to thank you for being a vital part of the Collective Data user community. Our 2024 annual survey provided valuable insights into how our platform is serving you and where we can do better. Your feedback not only highlights our successes but also underscores opportunities to improve.
The survey results showcased both our strengths and opportunities for growth. Many of you commended our customization capabilities, responsive customer support, and ease of navigation. At the same time, some challenges with workflow simplicity, proactive communication about updates emerged as themes, and certain reporting features are what we need to address as we head into 2025.
What We Learned from You
Positive Feedback Highlights:
- Customer Support (85% positive): This area received the highest positive feedback, with users consistently praising responsiveness and problem resolution.
- Customization Capabilities (80% positive): Many respondents highlighted the platform’s flexibility in tailoring to their specific needs.
- Ease of Navigation (75% positive): A majority find the platform easy to use, though some noted room for further simplification.
Areas for Improvement:
- Reporting Features: While reporting features were still positive, reporting capabilities were a common item mentioned by users desiring more intuitive and flexible options.
- Productivity Improvements: Respondents acknowledged gains in efficiency but noted that certain workflows could still be streamlined further.
- Updates Communication: Proactive and transparent communication about updates was flagged as an area needing attention to prevent disruption to user workflows.
Looking Ahead
We are committed to working to address the areas you’ve highlighted. In 2025, our focus will be on strengthening some core themes:
Listening Closely
Your feedback is the foundation of our innovation. We’ll continue to engage directly with you through surveys and one-on-one conversations to ensure we understand your needs deeply. If a member of our Product team reaches out to you to learn more about how you use the software, taking that meeting will be incredibly helpful. That insight is invaluable for us to make sure we are hitting the mark.
Continued Investment in Simplicity
While our platform’s robustness is a strength, we recognize that simplicity can help drive productivity. We’ll continue to evaluate how our tools are used with the goal of streamlining workflows and reducing complexity where possible.
Enhancing Communication
Transparent and proactive communication will be a priority. Whether it’s keeping you informed about updates or providing clearer guidance on new features, we’re committed to ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.
Celebrating What We Accomplished in 2024
While we are focused on what’s ahead, I do want to take some time to acknowledge some of the great improvements we made to our platform in 2024. Here are just a few highlights of features released in 2024.
Configurable Dashboards
The release of Configurable Dashboards in early 2024 was a game-changer for Collective Data and our users. We’re thrilled to give organizations the power to design their workspace around what matters most to them. This wasn’t just about making things look good but putting the right information at your fingertips so you can work smarter and make decisions faster.
Inspection Management Enhancements
We re-vamped our inspections section of the software, with more intuitive workflows, easier setup and better tracking of inspection statuses. We also expanded this to include Employee inspections, a beneficial addition for many of our Law Enforcement customers.
Asset Attachments Enhancement (Recently released in December)
We streamlined the management of asset attachments with a dedicated tab, attachment badges, and intuitive attach/detach buttons for improved user experience.
Enhanced RFID capabilities: We’ve expanded our Quartermaster application to take more advantage of RFID technology, expanding beyond our Item Issue and Item Return screens.

In the latest version of our platform, Asset Audits can now be easily performed using RFID to know what is present or missing from your storage locations.
We’ve also expanded our system to make use of RFID scanner technologies attached to doorways, allowing our clients to track movement of assets.
Conclusion
These enhancements are just a few of many put out in 2024 based on user feedback. To see a detailed list of improvements made throughout the year, you can view our changelogs:
